Following in the footsteps of the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus, Pasquale Montesano has left the "Old World" of Europe to discover and conquer the "New World" of America.
Born in the sunny region of Calabria, Pasquale moved to Bologna to pursue his graduate studies and earned his MBA from one of the city’s most prestigious universities.
He then directed his business interests to opening what quickly became Bologna’s most exclusive night club, and he went on to the create of an internationally renowned wine bar and an upscale restaurant serving the finest of Calabrese and Mediterranean cuisine in honor of his homeland.
Pasquale brings with him the heart and soul of Italy, as well as 15 years of experience in the Food and Hospitality Industry. In his new store Sfilatino Italian Gourmet, he deftly combines the essence of Italian culinary arts and tradition with a quintessential New York setting.
New York welcomes Sfilatino Italian Gourmet as the newest expression of "Made in Italy".
It is one of the most expensive edible mushrooms in the world.
